How to properly store canned tuna?
Canned tuna should be stored in a pantry, cupboard, closet, or storage area fresh and dry.
You should keep the cans dry to prevent them from rusting. Don’t leave tuna cans in the floor nor in humid areas as under the sink from the kitchen or near the refrigerator or dishwasher.
The storage place should be away from heat. Therefore you must ensure that there is no nearby hot water pipes Y home appliances like the stove and the refrigerator. since they emit heat when in use.
To prevent cans from being crushed, avoid putting heavier items on them.
Place the cans older in front or above to be the first you use.
If the can does not have an expiration date, mark it with the date of purchase and consume the tuna within the first 12 months afterwards.
If you keep your tuna in an unheated garage, SFGate recommends making sure the cans don’t freeze during the winter months. This can cause the can to swell or rust.
