President of the lower house of Brazil expects Congress to pass reforms next year

SAO PAULO, Aug 24 (.) – Brazil’s Congress will focus the rest of the year on the rule to limit government spending and fiscal and administrative reforms, lower house speaker Rodrigo Maia said on Monday.

In a radio interview, Maia also said he expects Congress to pass other key economic reforms next year and that the country’s privatization program is likely to accelerate in 2021.
