The coach of AS Saint-Etienne has decided to reinstate the Algerian striker, Ryad Boudebouz, after having dismissed him since the start of the season.
The Algerian international’s last meeting with the Greens dates back to the Coupe de France final lost against the Paris Saint Germain (0-1), on July 24. No longer falling within the plans of the technical staff, Ryad Boudebouz had been invited to find a new base. The Forez club had decided this summer to reduce the payroll by sacking several executives including the former Bastia.
Boudebouz dismissed since the start of the season
Yes Wahbi Khazri and Miguel Trauco, who were also on the unwanted list, were reinstated, Boudebouz was never called upon by Claude Puel since the start of the current fiscal year. Aware of his delicate situation with the Stéphanois, the Algerian opened the door to a departure a few weeks ago. But negotiations with Qatar SC were ultimately unsuccessful.
Boudebouz back to training
Arrived in Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2019 from Betis Seville, Ryad Boudebouz has not yet managed to win over time with the Stéphanoise team. According to the specialist media Peuple Vert, the 30-year-old will return to collective training this week and should take part in the friendly match against Grenoble.
