The coronavirus pandemic continues and you cannot lower your guard in the fight against this disease. It is for this reason that Razer presented a style of face mask that serves as a face mask and which they assure will be the “most intelligent and socially friendly in the world”.
This is Project Hazel, it is a multipurpose smart mask that seeks to have several advantages over traditional face masks. For example, it has a clear and transparent design that allows you to see the smile and easy expressions of those who use it. This is very useful for the hearing impaired as it allows lip reading.
Another important point of Project Hazel is that it has interior lights that activate automatically in the dark. In this way, users can express themselves clearly even in low light conditions.

Do you want more? Then you should know that they will take advantage of the Razer Voice Amp technology that uses a microphone and an amplifier to allow clear communication. Thus, you will no longer feel that other people cannot hear you for bringing something over your mouth.
A face mask that seeks to be safe
This all sounds great, but let’s be honest: the only reason to wear a mask is to protect ourselves and others. So the question is, does the Razer face mask meet this goal? This is a product in development, but it is intended to do so.
Project Hazel is equipped with N95 medical grade respiratory protection, as well as removable and rechargeable active ventilators, as well as Smart Pods that regulate airflow for optimal breathing. Razer claims that it filters out at least 95% of airborne particles and that it has a high resistance to fluids.

Another important point is that it uses replaceable and rechargeable disk fans that can be easily disinfected. This is thanks to the fact that they will be accompanied by a fast charging box that will return the battery and disinfect them with ultraviolet light.
Finally, we have a hermetic seal thanks to its adjustable straps for the ears.
“Razer recognizes the uncertainty of the road ahead, so it was our duty to help protect our community members and prepare them against unseen threats,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer Co-Founder and CEO. “Project Hazel’s smart mask concept is intended to be functional, yet comfortable and useful for interacting with the world, while maintaining a sociable aesthetic.”
It is worth mentioning that Project Hazel is just a conceptual design in development. This is why it lacks a price or release date. In addition, if it goes on sale, you must wait for the final version to have changes.
