The launch of the iPhone 13 it still gives something to talk about. In the last hours battery capacity confirmed for all four new models of Apple smartphones, and the data is really interesting. On the one hand, because they imply an interesting leap compared to the iPhone 12, and on the other, because they throw up surprises even within the newly presented line of mobiles.
According to Macrumors, the confirmation of the capacity of the batteries in the new terminals comes thanks to the publication of videos in which they are completely disassembled to analyze their components.
The first thing to note is that, indeed, they boast a greater battery capacity than their predecessors. This is something that had been talked about for quite some time before the launch of the new cell phones on the block. The other novelty is that iPhone 13 Pro has less battery capacity than regular iPhone 13. It is a very peculiar data, without a doubt.

As we mentioned before, the jump in the capacity of the batteries of the new iPhones is very interesting. But the case of the iPhone 13 Pro is also new and its battery is smaller than that of the standard model. It is clear that here Apple relies on the use of other technologies to optimize the duration of the chargeregardless of the size of the accumulator.
Macrumors’ Joe Rossignol indicates that the variable refresh rate of the ProMotion display included in the Pro and Pro Max models would be key to improving energy management. Let us remember that the panel update frequency is automatically adapted to the situation of use of the smartphone; this means that it can go down from 120 Hz to just 10 Hz, if necessary.
And yes, the 13 Pro battery * is * lower capacity than the standard 13.
Both phones are 6.1-inch, but the 13 Pro has a larger camera system. Plus, the ProMotion display’s variable refresh rate as low as 10Hz helps to save battery life on the 13 Pro.
