The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE It is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2021, due to several leaks that were known during the year. However, a new report ensures that your presentation would have been canceled, generating new doubts about whether the mobile will really see the light.
According to the South Korean media DDaily (via Android Authority), a Samsung executive would have confirmed the cancellation of the October Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S21 FE would supposedly be featured. But this is not all, as the company would be “reviewing the launch of the phone itself.”
According to the report, Samsung could definitively abandon the launch of the Fan Edition of its main line of smartphones; and the reason would be the global shortage of chips. Specifically it is mentioned that as the mobile would use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, the same one that appears in the other S21s and in the new Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, the manufacturer would choose to allocate the available processors to its folding catalog.
The report indicates that the good sales of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 would incline Samsung to definitively rule out plans on the Galaxy S21 FE. Logically, with so many twists and turns, no one can assure that the last word has been said on this issue.
It is not the first time that the cancellation of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has been talked about

The Galaxy S21 FE was first leaked last April, and in June there was talk for the first time about a possible cancellation of its launch. Already at that time the shortage of components was mentioned as the main problem to face its production.
However, shortly after the alleged response of the South Koreans appeared to keep the mobile alive. It was said that Samsung would bet on launching the Galaxy S21 FE in two versions; in some markets with a Snapdragon 888 processor, and in others with an Exynos 2100.
As we mentioned previously, today it seems unlikely that someone would dare to confirm that the fate of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is really doomed. But seeing that the Asian firm already “killed” the Galaxy Note to favor the Galaxy Z Fold 3, it would not be unusual for me to choose a similar path in this case. We will see if the DDaily report has sustenance over the weeks.
