During CES 2021, which is one of the largest and most important technology fairs in the world and is held remotely due to current sanitary conditions, the Sony brand unveiled Sony Bravia CORE, its new streaming service.
If you are one of those who can spend the whole weekend watching movies or series at home, this is good news for you. The company informed that part of its content will be films from the Sony Pictures Entertainment catalog, other premieres, some paid, as well as all the IMAX Enhaced material.

This platform will be available in the new Sony equipment, and one of the company’s commitments is that it will have a better resolution than other platforms such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, which have a bitrate of 20Mbpsm, in their case they offer one of up to 80Mbps .
One of the requirements to be able to reach this quality is that users have an Internet connection of 115 Mbps. Likewise, they reported that the content and image quality can be reproduced in HDR10 and DTS 5.1 audio.
It is expected that for the moment it will be integrated into its new Sony Bravia XR televisions. Some of the movies that will be available are: ‘Jumanji’, ‘The Karate Kid’ or ‘Peter Rabbit’. Similarly, Sony will offer Studio Access, to find extra content, interviews and the history behind their films.
Although the prices that this service will have have not yet been announced, it is expected to be available this year. So we recommend you pay attention to this new option to add it to your list of contents to see.
