Spain registered six thousand 549 new cases of coronavirus and 838 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total affected to 78 thousand 797 sick and six thousand 528 deceased, reported the Ministry of Health.
According to the latest balance, Madrid now reaches 22,677 patients and is the most affected region in the country, with a total of 3,682 deaths.
Catalonia is in second place, with 15 thousand 26 infections and thousand 391 deaths, followed by the Basque Country (five thousand 740 cases), Castilla y León (five thousand 414), Castilla-La Mancha (five thousand 246), Valencian Community ( four thousand 784), Andalusia (four thousand 682) and Galicia (three thousand 139).
Spain is the fourth country in the world in number of affected, the second in recovered patients and the second in number of deceased, only behind Italy.
