The outcome of Phase 3 of Marvel It was a moment long awaited by all fans of the franchise. In 2019 came ‘Avengers: Endgame’, with an auction that showed the death of one of its protagonists, Iron Man, and a character whose last scenes were turned into an old man, Captain America.
Marvel fans claim that Stan Lee was Captain America in his cameos.
The case of Steve Rogers (played by actor Chris Evans), or better known as Captain America, is the most interesting in the MCU. This superhero fought Thanos and then went on a quantum journey to return the Infinity Stones to each corresponding epoch.
However, minutes later, he returned with several years on top and handing his shield to Falcon (played by the actor Anthony Mackie). From this surprising fact, several theories arose and the most shared is that the late creator of Marvel Comic’s, Stan Lee, I was going to play the older version of Captain America. Hence, 42 cameos made by him in the previous tapes would be intertwined.
According to the Mexican media Medio Tiempo, this idea would have been born from the same Marvel producers, who planned to reveal that Stan Lee was always Steve Rogers in his senile version. Unfortunately, he died the year before the film was released and they couldn’t carry out their plans, so they had to play Evans.
The original owner of this theory would be the Reddit user, MemTheDurgen, who tied all of Lee’s cameos until the writer’s death. Let us remember that he died in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a cardiorespiratory arrest.
According to MemTheDurgen, some clues that support his theory are his appearances in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, where he spends time with his friends from WWII; or your character in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ where you are not surprised to see spaceships. Still, official confirmations are missing.
