The Valencia he’s back. The Che took two ‘rest’ seasons in which they finished in 13th and 9th position, but it seems that in 2021-22 they do have a lot to say at the top of the table. We analyze what we believe to be the three keys that explain this resurgence.
José Bordalás and the magic method
Something has José Bordalás that makes all his teams compete in each game as if it were the last. In Getafe he sat in the chair and earned an opportunity in a bigger club. Now, Valencia breathes the same as the azulón club in past seasons.
It is impossible to see a che player walking on the field. Valencia attacks, yes, but as soon as they lose the ball they bite and nobody relaxes. It is pure Bordalás DNA. There is still a lot of course ahead, but it looks very, very good.
From the hand of the previous key, which is perhaps the most important, comes how little Valencia suffers behind. Or at least the intention of not neglecting the defense. It fits little and that makes it add more and better.
New faces with hunger and quality
The signings are working. Hugo Duro ‘wet’ against Real Madrid, Foulquier has fitted well. What’s more, Bordalás has fitted Hugo Guillamón in the center of the field and his new position is right for him.
