Expectations are raised with the recent preview of the live action of the Knights of the Zodiac. Knights of the Zodiac: The Beginning opens on April 28 in Japan, so Sony and Toei Animation released a new trailer that lasts one minute.
In this new preview of the film, the images of the actors who will make this film were seen, which could be very dangerous for their careers. We already know what live action that ends in failure does and let’s hope that Knights of the Zodiac is a success.
The plot seems to be directed towards the development of the beginnings of the Bronze Knights. That first saga of Masami Kurumada’s anime, in which each of the bronze saints obtains his armor to protect princess Saori, is what is presumed to appear in this film.
In addition to Arata Mackenyu as Seiya, stand out Famke Janssen (Jean Gray in the X-Men saga, in a role to be determined), Madison Iseman as Sienna (Saori Kido, Athena), Sean Bean (Mitsumasa Kido), Mark Dacascos (Mylock ) and Nick Stahl (Cassius).
Tomasz Baginski, with experience as an animator and special effects creator on The Witcher, is directing the film, with Kiel Murray, Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken serving as writers. They are all based on the story created by the great Masami Kurumada.
Toei Animation will distribute the film in Japan, while the rest of the world, except for China and the Middle East, will be distributed by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions.
