Ghanaian President wins 2nd term in disputed election

ACRA, Ghana (AP) – President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been elected to a second term after winning a disputed election, Ghana’s electoral commission said Wednesday. Akufo-Addo of the ruling New Patriotic Party won the elections held on Monday with 51.6% of the preference, beating former president John Dramani Mahama of the main opposition party National Democratic Congress, who obtained 47.4% of the votes, according to with the commission.
