Fans of “Cobra Kai” have been eagerly awaiting the fourth season of the series. Fortunately for viewers, new episodes of the acclaimed show will be able to be seen from December 31, 2021.
The third season of the series ended with Johnny Lawrence (William “Billy” Zabka ”) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) striking a deal with sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove). As fans know, the dojo that loses the All Valley Tournament will have to leave the Encino area. The ex-rivals decide to teach karate together to increase their chances of winning the tournament.
The trailer for the fourth season of ‘Cobra Kai’ is now available
The trailer for the show’s next season was released during “TUDUM: A Global Netflix Fan Event,” a live broadcast that aired on September 25. Fans can watch the epic trailer below:
The trailer begins with Daniel and Johnny with their students at the Miyagi-Do dojo. The owner of the LaRusso Auto Group dealership tries to give his students a motivational talk about how to defeat the “Cobra Kai” dojo in the All Valley tournament. Johnny interrupts him and encourages his students to be physically violent, which alarms Daniel. This suggests that there may be some conflict among karate instructors regarding how each one plans to teach in Season 4.
Another clip shows Johnny trying to do the iconic crane kick while practicing with Daniel in front of his students. Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) can also be seen pinning a new character named Kenny (Dallas Young) against the wall. Another short clip allows us to see Johnny and his girlfriend, Carmen Diaz (Vanessa Rubio), hugging. Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), who now teams up with Kreese, also showed off his athleticism, apparently at the Cobra Kai dojo. The trailer ends with Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler) telling Daniel, “If you had told me a year ago that our family’s safety would depend on winning a karate tournament, I would have thought you were joking. Here we are, living in ‘The Twilight Zone.’ “
Two Season 4 Trailers Were Released Previously This Year
Two other trailers for the fourth season of “Cobra Kai” were previously released. In May, fans of the martial arts series got a glimpse of “Karate Kid Part III” villain Terry Silver. During an interview with AwardsWatch in August 2021, the show’s co-creator and executive producer Jon Hurwitz said that fans “were going to get to see where Silver was now.” in the fourth season of “Cobra Kai.”
“Let’s see where it is now. We are going to see how he remains the same, how he is different, and what his motivations are, ”explained Hurwitz.
The writer also stressed that the character “still knows karate” and that he continues to be “a tough man.”
Netflix also released a short trailer showing some clips from the upcoming season in August 2021. One of the moments featured Johnny breaking concrete with his fist. In his talk with AwardsWatch in August this year, William Zabka mentioned the trailer. He joked that he had been able to break the cement “in one shot.”
“They were real. I bandaged my hand and just hit them, okay, ”joked the actor.
He also shared information about that advance.
“The spirit of the season is in that advance. I will tell you that. In fact, it says a lot. It’s just that if you didn’t see it, you can’t imagine what could happen. It will be fun as you watch it. The new trailer will come out and you will find out more and you will see it again and you will understand it. I think that’s part of the fun, trying to guess, trying to figure it out and surprise you, you know? ” said the father of two children.
