Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most trusted sources when it comes to future Apple products, has released a flood of information about the iPhone 14 (via .). The analyst reinforced his March report indicating that some next generation models will say goodbye to the controversial ‘notch’, whose dimensions were reduced in the iPhone 13. This last terminal, in fact, will see the light in much of the world – including Spain – during this week.
Instead of the ‘notch’, Apple would bet on a perforated screen, a trend that Asian manufacturers started for some years. However, according to Kuo, the only models that will get on the perforated panel train are the ones with the highest performance. That is, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Thus, the standard terminals would maintain the distinctive notch that accompanies the apple smartphone from the iPhone X.
Previous reports, including one from Kuo himself, had anticipated that the iPhone 14 would offer a fingerprint reader (Touch ID) integrated into the screen. However, the analyst warns that this novelty would wait, at least, until the iPhone of 2023. Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg journalist and another respected source on Apple’s upcoming devices, said in August that the company had plans to incorporate Touch ID under the panel, however its biggest goal is to hide the Face ID sensors.
A couple of weeks ago, Jon Prosser, the popular – and controversial – leaker, shared some renderings of the supposed iPhone 14 Pro Max. The front of the terminal exposes a perforated screen, as Apple has finally managed to hide the Face ID sensors. The overall design of the device is similar to iPhone 4Especially since the glass surfaces are now placed on top of a new titanium alloy frame – presumably also exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro. Of course, any leak from Prosser must be taken with a grain of salt.
Kuo ends his report by mentioning that, in which it corresponds to the photographic section of the iPhone 14 Pro, there will also be news. Notes that the wide-angle camera will jump up to 48 megapixels. This sensor, in the iPhone 13, is 12 MP. Yes, there is still a year to go before the presentation of the iPhone 14 and we know more and more details …
