The Man in the Machine Fayer Wayer

A documentary based on SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk is in development and in good hands: Acclaimed director Alex Gibney, who has made documentaries on a number of high-profile topics in the past, is helming the project.

According to a report published on the website of Tesla Rattythe tape is titled simply “Musk” and is intended to be a “definitive and no-frills examination” of the mogul.

The project has reportedly been months in the works. The director suggested it in a statement quoted in Business Insider: “I’ve been working on this film, off and on, for some time and I’m very excited about it. I am delighted with this extraordinary group that is working with me. Forward!”.

Given the director’s comments, Elon Musk’s next movie will probably be pretty compelling. Alex Gibney won the Oscar for his 2007 film “Taxi to the Dark Side,” which covered the death of an Afghan driver who was beaten to death while extrajudicially detained by US soldiers.
