At the end of the year, Niantic announced that it would introduce seasons in Pokémon GO, which would have different themes. The first was the Holiday Season, which will culminate after a great celebration of Kanto. Niantic just announced the new season and revealed some new Pokémon that it will bring with it.
The developer reported today that next March 1 at 8:00 AM (local time) will be when the Season of Legends begins, which will replace the Holiday Season, after having been available for 3 months. Similarly, this new season will have the same duration and will end on June 1 at 10:00 AM (local time).
Region-exclusive Pokémon will return
As the name implies, the new season will be inspired by the legends of the franchise, both trainers and Pokémon. Although Niantic did not offer many details about it, it revealed that the creatures that appear in the game will rotate, so players will be able to find a new variety in Raids, in the wild, in Eggs, and so on. Some of the confirmed creatures are Mantine, Frillish, Voltorb, Glameow, Hoppip, which will appear depending on the environment you are in: water, city, forest, etc.
Something that will stand out in this period is that the regional Pokémon by hemisphere will have more importance. In the northern (northern) hemisphere, Tangela, Combee, Croagunk, Ducklett, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup and more will appear in the wild more often, such as the spring form of Deerling and even Scyther, Dratini and Cottonee if you are very lucky.
In case you missed it: Niantic is preparing an event to compensate for some problems that occurred in the Kanto Tour of Pokémon GO.
While in the southern hemisphere Mankey, Yanma, Buizel, Woobat, Snivy, tepig, Oshawott will appear more frequently and with luck you will be able to see Pineco, Bagon or even Ferroseed. The Autumn form of Deerling will also appear in this hemisphere.
In Eggs will appear creatures like Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Budew (2 km), Drowzee, Azurill, and Munna (5 km), and Nincada, Alomomola (10 km). It is important to remember that there will be even more Pokémon; these are just a few examples.
Soon you will be able to capture the alternate form of the Trio of Clouds
Additionally, the company reported that more mega-evolved Pokémon will make it to the title throughout the season alongside all-new Legendary Pokémon. The first legendary creatures to be confirmed to debut in Season of Legends are the Pokémon Whirlwind, Lightning Bolt, and Fertility in their Totem Form.
We refer to the Trio of the Clouds (Forces of Nature), made up of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus, which originally debuted in Generation V, in Pokémon Black Version & White Version, along with the Unova region. It is important to mention that these creatures are already available in the game, but so far it is only possible to catch these 3 legendary Pokémon in their Avatar Form (Incarnate Form), but very soon it will be possible to capture them in their Totem Form (Therian Form). The main difference is that, which is reflected in their appearance, since the 3 creatures lose the cloud that transports them and adopt an animal image.
These will be the first creatures to arrive with the new season and you can get candy from them, as well as more rewards, with a Special Research that Professor Willow will assign you.

Season of Legends will include many bonuses
Niantic also confirmed some of the bonuses that will be enabled during this season. The first is that players will be able to earn more Experience Points (XP) by completing 5-star Raids. The developer will also give away an undefined number of Remote Raid Passes in the store throughout the period.
Likewise, we remind you that several previous bonuses will continue to be enabled during this new season, such as opening 1.5 more gifts than normal, elimination of walking requirements for the GO Fighting League, Double the effectiveness of Incense, and getting gifts through your partner, which were introduced as a temporary measure in the midst of the pandemic.
A few weeks ago, Niantic brought back the 1 PokéCoin bundles to the in-game store, offering a lot of different content on a weekly basis, and the one that just arrived includes 20 Pokéballs and 3 Remote Raid Passes.

Niantic closed the Holiday Season with a large number of very attractive events and in the same way the Season of Legends will begin, since the March Community Day has already been confirmed, whose protagonist will be the Robin Pokémon, which will make its debut in its shiny or variocolor shape.
