SailGP, the spectacular catamaran competition that reach speeds exceeding 100 km / hour, today puts the sale of tickets for the Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalusia – Cádiz. The largest sailing show in the world will be held in Cadiz waters the next October 9 and 10, an iconic date coinciding with the Hispanidad Bridge and the V Centenary of the First Around the World by Juan Sebastián Elcano.
Less than two months before the event lSpectators of the Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalusia – Cádiz will be able to follow the competition from very close, offering the public the possibility to enjoy live the speed of the boats and an authentic show on the water by the hand of the best sailors in the world. The Spanish team, the youngest and with the most Olympic crew members in the competition, with Jordi Xammar, Phil Robertson, Florian Trittel, Diego Botin, Joan Cardona, Mateu Barber, Antonio “Ñeti & rdquor; Cuervas-Mons, Andrea Emone and Xabi Fernandez as a coach, he will host the Grand Prix. So that the people of Cadiz and visitors can enjoy the F50 in action, the organization puts at their disposal different areas to follow the regattas from land or on board a boat with different types of tickets, including several free accesses:
● Free access. On Paseo Santa Bárbara, spectators will have free access and a spectacular view to enjoy from the ground and immerse themselves in the competition with live commentary and animation in the Race Village area.
● Access on board. SailGP, in collaboration with the Bahía de Cádiz Transport Consortium, offers the opportunity to live the Grand Prix experience aboard one of the official boats. With two categories of tickets available, Access and Premium, this access will offer the closest view of the race from the water.
● Bring your own boat. Spectators who have their own boat will also be able to follow the regattas with a double option, free and premium. A privileged location on the perimeter of the most exciting race on the planet and where you can listen to the comments live on VHF. Additionally, and for those who cannot attend live, there is the option of watching it on the official SailGP broadcast or through the SailGP app. Fully configurable and with real-time data, this application allows to follow in detail each section and maneuver of the teams and offers the user the possibility of extracting data and statistics from the regatta.
To fulfill your commitment to the environment and sustainability, the organization of the Spain Sail Gran Prix | Andalusia – Cádiz will compensate each of the tickets sold for its environmental impact on the day of the race. An opportunity to internationally position Andalusia and Cádiz as a sports destination SailGP has a global reach, broadcasting the competition in more than 175 countries and in its first season it reached an audience of 250 million people.
It is a worldwide viewing platform that will contribute to the international positioning of both Cádiz and Andalusia as a leading sports and tourist destination. This Grand Prix will have an estimated economic impact for the territory of around 20 million euros and it will be an important window of international exposure for Andalusia. In addition to economic and tourist promotion, it should be noted that SailGP is a platform to accelerate the change towards a cleaner and more inclusive future, and therefore will support projects that generate a positive social and environmental impact in the region. Within the framework of the competition, the Cádiz City Council will carry out different cultural activities offering visitors the opportunity to get to know the region and some of its traditions. With the sponsorship of the Tourism Council of the Junta de Andalucía, through ERDF funds, Cádiz Provincial Council and City Council and with the collaboration of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz and the Spanish Navy, the event will take place in the very heart of the city.
