The sports director of Sevilla, Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, known as ‘Monchi’ fulfilled this Wednesday, coinciding with the debut of the Andalusian team in the Champions League against Salzburg, 1,000 parties in charge.
As a reason for this day, the Sevilla website has made a report that includes Monchi’s journey since he took office in 2000, with a two-year hiatus at AS Roma. The titles that the Andalusian team has achieved during their stay have been: six Europa League, two Copas del Rey, one European Super Cup, one Spanish Super Cup, in addition to 20 final disputed obtaining 50% of victories.
Sevilla with Monchi on the board has managed to add 512 wins, 206 draws and 282 losses. The percentage of encounters without falling has promoted to 71.8%. Since the Andalusian club got its first promotion with Caparrós as coach, Monchi accumulates 686 matches in First Division, in which he has achieved almost the half of the wins and 70% unbeaten.
On the other hand, in Europe it has managed to add numbers in Champions, Europa League and European Super Cup playing 160 games of which he has obtained 90 victories, 31 draws and 39 defeats, that is, a 75% unbeaten. In the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, Monchi’s numbers are 106 games played in the Copa del Rey and six in the Spanish Super Cup, with whom he has achieved 73 victories, twelve draws and 27 defeats.
With an Instagram post, Monchi celebrated the numbers: “Thanks to my club for the detail. 1,000 matches in the team of my life & mldr; it is said soon. Thanks to all of you who have helped me get here. I love you sfc“. Sevilla FC has also celebrated it with a video on their social networks, that collected each of the moments lived by the sports director.
