Netflix has revealed at the Code Conference 2021 what its Most viewed series and movies so far. It is something that the streaming content platform makes known from time to time, but always with the same degree of detail.
On this occasion, it was Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and head of content of the firm, who has offered this look at the content that is working best for the streaming giant.
And it has done so in two different ways: one, through the number of accounts of the service that have seen at least 2 minutes of the title in question in the first 28 days after its release; another, showing the total number of hours that the show in question has been played in the same period of time.

Netflix and the formula of success after success
It does not escape anyone that Netflix lives embarked on a process of constant content generation. It is precisely this search for the constant hit that leads to these lists being invalid for a long time, due to a constantly changing character.
Most of the previous titles – especially, in the case of series – correspond to successes that resonate or have done so internationally. This is the case of Bridgerton, Stranger Things, La casa de papel or 13 Reasons Why, which have been, or are, phenomena on their own.
And precisely because of the high turnover of new content, they are also often short-lived. In fact, Sarandos also revealed on this occasion the title that is on the way to breaking all popularity records on the platform.
Is about Squid Game, a South Korean production that recreates a kind of Battle Royale in which adults with financial problems enter a bloody contest. In it they will have to face several children’s games … where only one can remain alive.
