“They trafficked many people to me.”
This testimony belongs to Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Ghislaine Maxwell, the British millionaire accused by the US authorities of child trafficking with her ex-partner, the American magnate Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison last year.
Epstein wrote Maxwell that she had done “nothing wrong” in a 2015 message exchange, contradicting previous claims that they had not been in contact in the past decade.
In another document, Giuffre (then named Roberts) claims that Maxwell was as involved in sex trafficking as Epstein.
Maxwell pleaded not guilty in an appearance in which he requested bail, a request that was denied.
Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell had a love relationship in the past.
Epstein died in prison on August 10, 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. Authorities determined that his death was by suicide.
What documents were published?
There is a nearly 350-page document that contains the testimony offered in 2016 by Virginia Giuffre, who alleges that she was forced to have sex with Epstein and his friends.
The statement comes from his civil libel suit – which has already been settled – against Maxwell.
Epstein was to be tried for sex trafficking and conspiracy offenses, but was found dead in his cell in August 2019.
There is also a 2015 email exchange between Maxwell and Epstein, showing how concerned she was about the possible consequences of the case and which we will detail later.
Among the documents published are also police reports and flight records of Epstein’s private planes.
What is in the email exchange?
An email sent by Epstein to Maxwell on January 21, 2015 contains what appears to be a statement to be used by her in defense of any charges against her.
In response, Maxwell sends an email on January 24 to try to distance himself from any romantic relationship with Epstein, saying, “I would appreciate it if Shelley came out and said she was your girlfriend, I think she was from late 1999 to 2002. “
Shelley’s identity is unclear, but Epstein replies a day later: “Good for me.”

In his request for bail on July 14, Maxwell’s attorneys said he had not been in contact with Epstein for more than a decade.
What is in Giuffre’s statement?
Another of the main documents published this week is the testimony of Virginia Giuffre, who denounced that she was recruited by Maxwell “to be trafficked” while working on the Mar-a-Lago estate of now President Donald Trump, some 20 years ago.
Giuffre testified that he had sexual encounters on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean and at his homes in Palm Beach, Florida and New York.
Many of Giuffre’s names are crossed out in black in the disclosed transcript.
So they both trafficked me. Ghislaine brought me for the purpose of being trafficked. Ghislaine brought me for the purpose of being trafficked. They trafficked me to many people”.
Ghislaine Maxwell was detained after months unaccounted for.
She’s the one who recruited me, told me what to do, trained me as a sex slave, physically mistreated me, mentally mistreated me. She is the only one that I believe in the bottom of my heart that deserves to step forward and that justice falls on her more than anyone. Being a woman, it’s disgusting. ” data-reactid = “173”> And added: “Ghislaine Maxwell (is) the one who abused me regularly. She’s the one who recruited me, told me what to do, trained me as a sex slave, physically mistreated me, mentally mistreated me. She is the only one that I believe in the bottom of my heart that deserves to step forward and that justice falls on her more than anyone. Being a woman, it’s disgusting. “
Giuffre also alleged that he engaged in sexual activities with Maxwell in a pool in the Virgin Islands, with “many girls.”
Maxwell (right) was Epstein’s frequent companion at social events.
In a 2016 statement, Maxwell denied all of the allegations made against her by Giuffre.
Prosecutors allege that between 1994 and 1997, Maxwell helped Epstein recruit girls as young as 14.
The indictment against Maxwell says it “aided, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls, among other things, by helping Epstein recruit, prepare, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein under the age of 18 “
