3 years ago, the comedian Jay washington told Collider, precisely on the Collider Live! podcast, that Tom holland He had shot a scene, not for a new Spider-Man movie, but for what was the first Marvel symbiote movie. However, the scene was removed and therefore the audience was never able to see it, as company executives saw the film and asked that the part in which Holland appeared be removed from the footage. Marvel Studios, the Disney-owned company behind the interconnected franchise, does not own the license for the Spider-Man character or the characters found in the Spider-Man comics. But like the Peter Parker of Tom holland has a shared agreement between Disney and Sony in which Marvel Studios acts as the creative producer of the Spider-Man films – no problem, and Sony distributes those films.
Thanks to that deal, the superhero played by Holland can exist in the MCU continuity and appear in non-Sony movies like Avengers: Infinity War – 79%. What complicates things again, or at least appears it, is that Sony is also moving forward with its own Marvel Comics adaptations that do not have Marvel Studios participation, including the Venom films and the upcoming Morbius with Jared Leto.
